This stunning serpentine dancing bear was expertly carved by Abraham Simeonie, an Inuit artist from Cape Dorset. This is a wonderful piece of Inuit art. Dancing bears are a common subject matter in Inuit art, and this is a gorgeous example of the theme. The serpentine used in this piece is a gorgeous specimen, a lovely dark colour with rich mottling.
