Description

This carving by Adami Amamatuak is a beautiful example of Inuit art. The bright green stone used for the tusk of this narwhale carving really makes the piece stand out.  Although hard to see in the pictures the inlaid eyes of the narwhale are also made of the green stone. The contrast of the materials used draws attention to the piece.  This is a unique depiction of a creature commonly depicted in Inuit art.
