Description
This is a gorgeous serpentine carving by Joe Salomonie. It is a stunning mother and child carving, but upon closer examination you begin to see hints of transformation themes as well. The child on the mothers back has the head of a bird, an interesting detail carved by Salomonie. This piece has a strong presence and is carved from beautiful stone. A wonderful piece of Inuit art.
