This fantastic carving was created by sought-after Inuit artist Floyd Kuptana. Kuptana was born in Cape Parry, NWT. This wonderful piece is a stunning example of a transformation piece. Inuit mythology is extremely important to their culture and is often portrayed in their artwork.  Floyd often carves transformation pieces. The play between physical and spiritual is something he manages to capture in his work. This is a phenomenal piece of art.
