Description

Drying skin is a wonderful, unusual piece by Mosesee Pootoogook, an Inuit artist from Cape Dorset. This is a great piece composed of three separate pieces, an Inuk man and woman carved from serpentine, and a frame, which is held by the stone carvings, to dry a sealskin. There are fantastic details in the piece, such as the baby peeking out from the amauti. This is a great carving to add to your collection.
