Description
This carving of a hunter and a seal is signed by Nowya. It has an Igloo label and the number 79760 carved in the stone. Our estimate is that this carving dates from the 1960’s and is possibly by Nowya Qinuajua from Akulivik. This carving has all the characteristics of the traditional Inuit Art coming from this region around the Hudson Bay of the province of Quebec. It is a lovely older carving, a nice collector’s choice.
