Born on May 18, 198 in Cape Dorset, NU. Nationality is Inuit

Up-and-coming carver Quaraq Nungusuituk is the biological son of Mary and Titi Curly. He was adopted by the noted carver Tukiki Manumie and his wife Eliakamee Nuntok. Quaraq inherited his adoptive parents’ artistic talents and began carving at a young age. His skillful handling of the stone belies his youth and conveys a confidence and conviction in his work.
His uncles are Anxangayu Shaa and Qavavau Manomie. Carving has always been the only way that Quaraq has earned a living. He’s most recognized for his animal sculptures, in particular his walking bears.
