Description

Bears and Seals by Eegeesiak Shoo from Iqaluit

Eegeesiak Kipanik Shoo (also known as Ejesiak Shoo) is an Inuit sculptor and artist originally from Iqaluit, Nunavut (born around 1966).
He is best known for hand-carving Arctic wildlife in soapstone and serpentine, including polar bears, muskoxen, and walruses, as well as transformation pieces and drum dancers. Eegeesiak Shoo is currently not actively carving which makes this composition of Bears and Seals from 2010 a most unique piece for collectors.
Bears and Seals by Eegeesiak Shoo has come to us from a private collector who obtained the composition directly from the carver. .
