Description
Family by Alex Alikashuak from Tikiraqjuaq (Whale Cove) is a nice example of Alex’s contemporary style. Alex manages to dazzle with his use of negative space, his change in directions, his simplicity yet complex carvings, his minimal approach to detail. Yet his carvings are intriguing, asking us to explore.
