This is a gorgeous older carving of a Hunter by Qaqasiralaq Kullualik . The carving probably originated in Pangnirtung, in the late 1960’s. The carving has beautiful hues of green in the stone. It has come to us through a private collector who spend some time in Nunavut in the early 70”s.

Qaqasiralaq Kullualik, also known as Kakasilala Koodluarlik, (1913-1983) was an Inuit artist from Pangnirtung.

His work is included in the collections of the National Gallery of Canada, the Winnipeg Art Gallery and the Bowers Museum.
