Description
This is a great carving by Maria Kukkuvak, an Inuit artist from Kugaaruk, a small community in Nunavut. The hunter is carved from ivory and has great proportion. He is standing on a base made of bone, and one gets the sense of patience required for the hunt. This piece would be a lovely addition to any collection.
