Description

A nice Walrus by Sapa Ashoona, very much carved in a traditional style.

Sapa Ashoona is a wonderful example of the emerging talents from this newer generation of Cape Dorset/Kinngait carvers. Sapa developed his carving skills under the tutelage of Kaka Ashoona.

Sapa is establishing himself as an accomplished carver of Polar Bears. This Walrus by Sapa Ashoona showcases his talents beyond the carving of Polar Bears.
