Kanarvalik Niviaqsi is an emerging artist, born in 1996 in Iqaluit. She is the daughter of master lithographer, Pitseolak Niviaqsi, and graphic artist, Sitaaralaaq.
Following in the footsteps of her parents, Kanarvalik has explored lithography and continues to develop her drawings. Known for her use of colour, her work heavily features the diverse wildlife with a focus on birds and fish.
Kanarvalik’s first print, Taking Flight, is part of the 2026 Annual Cape Dorset print collection.
